How it works

You only need a fragment

You only need to remember a fragment. We do the rest.

01

Tell us what you remember

A phrase, the kind of business, the station, the city — anything that stuck. Type it or say it.

02

We search the clues

We search what the commercials actually say, plus the station, the place and the advertiser.

03

Call them straight away

Best match first — the number, the transcript, and the recording where we have it.

Searching by voice

Just say it out loud

  1. Tap the microphone. The first time, we explain why we need it and you allow it once. After that it goes straight to listening.
  2. Describe the ad. Talk normally — the slogan, the trade, the station, roughly when you heard it.
  3. Check the words. We show you what we heard so you can fix any misheard names before searching.
  4. The recording is not kept. It is turned into text for that one search and then discarded.
Being honest about it

What we can and cannot find

We can find

Any commercial an advertiser or station has added — by a phrase in it, the business type, the station, the city, or a few digits of the number.

We cannot find

An ad nobody has listed. Broadcast audio is not archived publicly, so no service has a recording of every spot ever aired — including us.

When we come up short

We search the open web for businesses matching your description and label those clearly as unverified suggestions.
